What The Film
Is Based On
The film is based on Tony’s memoir, Fastest Man in the World.
A boy born without hands or feet walks onto a high school track at fifteen and finishes last in every race. Four years later, at nineteen, he holds the world record.
“Based on Volpentest’s memoir of the same name, the film chronicles the life of the quadruple congenital amputee who defied expectations to become one of the most accomplished Paralympic sprinters in history.”
Written by Kelli McNeil-Yellen. Directed by Alexander Yellen. Produced by Dannie Festa and Anthony Badalucco. Executive produced by Chuck Cuda, Anthony Biondo, and Jay Jawarski. Production is scheduled to begin in April 2027 in Kansas City, Missouri. Casting has not been announced.
